Driver in a Hurry

This driver sure is in a hurry, I was right at the front waiting for the lights, planning to turn right when this driver just jump que and shot out and jump the red light and turn right. Hey Buddy what the rush! Going over to Prai?, Rushing for the Toilet? or some other thing. Take it easy will you.

Say it with Flowers!

nope this is not a Valentine Related Post. . .
Where would you think this photo is taken? a) In a Hotel? b) In a commercial building? c) in a branded Multi National Building? d) or in a government Building?
.
.
Answer: In a Government Building, to be exact the Federal Building at Anson Road, Penang.
.
.
Now a days Government Building is looking better then Hotels, at least of the 3 to 4 star category. In terms of Building appearance, marble or granite finishing, as well as interior. This is our tax ringgit hard at work, ensuring comfort for us citizens when we visit government departments to do what is required such as birth certs, Ic etc.
.
.
This will lead me to a future post on our Puspakom, JPJ as well as or National Registration Office, This departments sure have improve in delivery of service speed.

Happy Thaipusam

Thaipusam (Tamil: தைப்பூசம்) (or Thai Poosam Kavady) is a Hindu festival celebrated mostly by the Tamil community in Malaysia on the full moon in the Tamil month of Thai (usually in Jan/Feb for the rest of us).
.
.
The festival commemorates both the birthday of Lord Murugan (also Subramaniam), the youngest son of Shiva and Parvati, and the occasion when Parvati gave Murugan a vel (lance) so he could vanquish the evil demon Soorapadman.
.
.
Generally during the festival, people who has take a vow to offer a kavadi or other to the Lord for purpose of tiding over or averting a great calamity, will do so usually at Batu Caves, KL, Selangor, or at Waterfall in Penang or at nearby Temples.
.
.
.
To all my Indian/Tamil friends and readers, Happy Thaipusam

Misleeding Price Tag

Ever been to a Supermarket/Hypermarket and when you check out the good is price differently?
.
.
Take a look at the above picture, the cheese are stack up over two price tag, and if you just glance you will think that the 12 slice cheese pack is RM4+ which is very cheep, look carefully you will find out that it is actually 6 slice cheese pack. by moving the 6 slice to the side and stacking the 12 slice over the 6 slice price tag you have created the impression that the stuff you want to sell is cheep if you do not check the price tag properly.
.
.
It this done intentionally? If yes then it is cheating. Or is it the quality of staff? Either way be carefully out there, and don't be shy to reject the item if the price do not match.

A one lorry Accideent

Well the above is a picture of a one lorry accident at a T junction some where in Seberang Prai Selatan, Penang.
.
.
My Friend was driving, so this give me the opportunity to take a snap. As mention, it involve one lorry only, which i think tip over when negotiating this turn, it's cargo appears to be rice or grain being delivered to a feed mill factory? some where further up the road.
.
.
This of course created a traffic jam at this junction. However why did the lorry tip over, overloaded? lorry not well maintain? I thought that such vehicles must be periodically check by Puspakom (by Law) before their road tax can be renew. What Happen? This accidents seem to be quite common judgeing by the photo's publish in the Star.

My experience in a Government Hospital.

Some time back around one month a go, I slip and fell in my own bath room. That resulted in a crack (fracture) thigh bone that laid me up.
.
On the advice of the GP (Dr), who also summonsed a ambulance to my house, I was carted off to a local district hospital, where basically I was x-ray and a splint was attach to my leg and then it was off to the Seberang Jaya Hospital, as this local hospital did not have the specialist to look in to my case.
.
At Seberang Jaya Hospital, I was admitted in to the wads, and a (trainee?) Doctor started asking me questions, all types of questions, blood pressure, diabetes etc, as was again send for X ray, after the night, during the Afternoon Rounds another Doctor instructed that my leg be place on a Skin Traction, and again I was send off for treatment, which resulted in the bed I was in was move, down stairs to a treatment for the skin traction, (which in my opinion can be done at the wad.
.
The Next day the Specialist arrive, with a entire entourage of around 20 Doctors (Trainee’s ?) which then the Doctor (for the day) in charge of my case have to brief the Specialist, which found fault is basically every thing the Doctor Said. The Specialist then inform the Doctor what to do.
.
( As a side note, if I or my fellow managers talk to our workers like that I think most will resign immediately. )
.
After 24 hours i was bored stiff, During the 2nd Day, I stated hassling the Specialist to go home or at least transfer back to the Local District Hospital. The Answer, the Local District Hospital do not have the equipment for the Skin Traction. Well that that.
.
The 3rd Day, I again spoke to the Specialist and she finally agreed to send me home as i did not need further treatment .
.
Well to recap basically 1) For the Money we pay (My Stay with food cost RM50) it is well worth it 2) Main Hospitals are well equip, the smaller one will refer you 3) Service and Nursing Care are adequate
4) Hospitals have no spoons, please bring you own
5) Food serve is basically Malay Food, Thank you
